Subject:Cosplay Secrets!

(I didn't see anything regarding community advertisements/affiliates within the community rules, so forgive me if I'm breaking any by posting this.)

Have something you want to get off your chest regarding cosplay? Frustrated at your best friend, you have a crush on that Beatrice cosplayer from that anime con, or you just need to vent anonymously? Then come join ljcos_secrets and let it all out.

Instructions on posting included with every secrets post, and secrets are posted weekly. Don't hold back.

Subject:Manifest 2010. Clay Charms.

Hi guys! I'm attending my first Manifest ever this August, WOOP! I'm a charm maker, making phone charms like this:

Ace Attorney Charms - Team PW by ~Selphiroth on deviantART

So I'm just wondering, would anyone going to Manifest be interested in any specific characters? <3 I don't usually make anything in duplicates because I get so bored easily, so I'll only make the ones that I have with commissions. Otherwise, I'm open to suggestions!

Thanks so much, and I can't wait to see you guys there! <3

Forgot to mention: for Manifest sells and presells only, those charms are going for $AU10 for a limited time. They will come with either a lariat or a key ring of your choice - but feel free to arrange to have them on ear hooks or bracelets or necklaces with me first. 8)

Subject:Cleaning up the house

(I know this might be outside the rules but I'm an honest seller and it's an emergency... Please please please :\)

So I'm moving to Japan (ironically) and I have a LOT to get rid of in terms of doujinshi! I've bought a LOT as a student over there and since its at my home, I decided I have no space. I have less than a month to get rid of this stuff so please please please take it off my hands.

I've set my prices including postage, and fandoms include:

  • Gintama
  • Bleach
  • Code Geass
  • Oofuri
  • Persona
  • Tales of (Destiny, Abyss & Vesperia)
  • Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro
  • Original Artists
I'll be adding a lot more whenever I can so be sure to check back! The account may look new but I have a personal account at itako if you want to make sure. I've sold things before but I have to stress that prices are non neg. outside of the $2 discount for Oz buyers.

Mood: nervous

Hi everyone!! I hope you're all well!!

I'm just quickly blogging to announce that I'm organizing... THE MELBOURNE FREEZE FRAME PROJECT 2009 & I'm actually quite nervous about it. It will be next month on Saturday, June 20th at 1pm at Bourke Street Mall in the city; where everyone freezes for 5 minutes. I am guessing some of you have heard about this before? I hope so. If you have Facebook, & can attend then PLEASE submit your attendance on the event page!!

Dress however you want too. :) You can cosplay or go lolita if you want. It would be nice to see a variety of people in the works for this!!

If you know anyone in Melbourne who'd be interested, please tell your friends!! I want this to be as successful as possible.

I hope that you can make it. WISH ME LUCK!!

Subject:Panels at Manifest!

Hi there, Melbourne anime lovers! I'm the panels co-ordinator for Manifest 2009 and I'm looking for more people to run panels since we have quite a good time allotment for them this year.

So is anyone here interested in running a panel? Panels can be on anime, manga or videogame genres, on general themes and features of anime/manga/VG, Japanese culture or fan culture such as cosplay, fanfiction or doujinshi. A list of the panels already confirmed can be found on the Manifest forums here, but even if your favourite topic already has a panel it may still be possible to add another one. Right now I'm particularly looking for panels on cosplay or video games, but all suggestions are welcome.

If you're interested, please send me an email at panels@manifest.org.au.
